Delta was awarded the "2021 low carbon model"
the 12th green development low carbon life series activities were officially launched at the China News Service Building in Beijing on June 11. The keynote forum held on the same day focused on the new journey of the carbon road, focused on the 3060 carbon goal, and discussed the efforts and practices of China's green development. As a pioneer in the practice of independent carbon reduction, Delta has long adhered to the green and sustainable development strategy. At the beginning of this year, it took the lead in proposing the overall goal of 100% renewable power use and carbon neutrality at all operating points in the world by 2030, which plays a demonstration and leading role in the industry. Therefore, it was awarded the 2021 low-carbon model. Delta's innovative energy-saving technologies and carbon reduction related cases will also be exhibited to the public in the public benefit exhibition of the national low carbon day home event planned to be held in August, to show the responsibility of enterprises to actively respond to climate change and promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. In his speech, Xie Zhenhua, China's special envoy for climate change affairs, said that climate action will not hinder economic development and can achieve synergy. He said that the achievements have been hard won, but we should also be soberly aware that China's industrial structure is biased, the energy structure is biased towards coal, the level of energy efficiency is low, and the ability of technological innovation is weak. There is still much room and potential for improvement. At present, relevant departments are formulating policies, measures, road maps and timetables to promote carbon peak and carbon neutralization, accelerate the green transformation of production and lifestyle, and promote the synergy of pollution reduction and carbon reduction
Wang Zhiping, chairman of the Chinese Mainland Commission for sustainable development of delta, said that under the promotion of the 3060 double carbon goal, it is urgent for all industries to promote green and low-carbon development, especially the manufacturing industry, which requires all parties to work together to promote industrial transformation and technological progress. In response to the national 3060 double carbon target, delta announced its participation in re100 in March this year and plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. Since its establishment in 1971, Delta has always adhered to the business mission of environmental protection, energy conservation and love the earth, and continued to provide energy-saving products to save energy and reduce carbon for the earth. 2021 coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the company. Delta has launched a series of celebrations with the theme of saving energy and supporting life, in order to appeal to everyone to cherish energy and treat everything and the environment well. In the future, Delta will continue to be committed to providing energy-saving products and solutions, including green intelligent manufacturing, electric vehicle charging, green building and other fields, helping the industrial transformation and upgrading, and leading the industry to work together towards a green tomorrow
delta takes power electronics as its core technology and invests more than 8% of its revenue every year in R & D and innovation, striving to improve the energy conversion efficiency of its products. From 2010 to 2020 alone, delta energy-efficient products have helped global customers save about 33.5 billion kwh of electricity and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 17.8 million tons. In addition, Delta has formulated science based targets (SBTS) as early as 2017, promising to reduce carbon intensity by 56.6% in 2025 compared with 2014, and has completed phased targets for three consecutive years
delta is actively reducing carbon from many aspects. In addition to product energy conservation, it also continues to make efforts through plant energy conservation, green building energy conservation and other aspects. In, China Securities Network reported on October 19 that Delta has implemented 2270 energy-saving schemes, saving 279million kwh of electricity, which should reduce 217000 tons of carbon emissions. Over the past decade, Delta has built 27 green buildings donated by factories and academies around the world, as well as 2 certified green data centers. In 2020, 15 certified factory run green buildings and 5 academic donated green buildings saved a total of 18.49 million kwh of electricity, about 11685 tons of carbon emissions. In 2020, Delta has reached the phased goal of reducing carbon intensity by more than 32% compared with 2014, and the proportion of renewable energy has reached about 45% of the global point power consumption. Delta also takes into account the internal and external carbon costs of global manufacturing plants, and sets the internal carbon price of $300 per metric ton in 2021. The carbon fee calculated based on this will be used for energy-saving projects and the acquisition of renewable energy, and gradually move towards zero carbon emissions
the series of activities of green development and low-carbon life are hosted by China Weekly of China news service. Since 2010, they have been successfully held for 12 consecutive years. They have received strong support and guidance from the Ministry of ecological environment, the national development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of industry and information technology, the state owned assets supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the State Council office, the State Administration of government affairs, the Beijing municipal government and other ministries and units, and have developed into a brand activity of China Weekly of China news service. Xie Zhenhua, China's special envoy for climate change affairs, Su Wei, Deputy Secretary General of the national development and Reform Commission, Yang Baoqi, deputy director of the Bureau of international communication of the Central Propaganda Department, Chen Junjun, President of the China news service, Zhang Lei, deputy president of the China news service, and the Ministry of ecological environment can confirm the quenching temperature range. Based on this, Lu Xinming, deputy director of the Department of climate change, Jia Feng, director of the publicity and education center of the Ministry of ecological environment, and Liu Fuguang, deputy director of the Publicity Bureau of the state owned assets supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Xu Hejian, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the Beijing Municipal Party committee, director of the Beijing municipal government office, and spokesman of the Beijing municipal government, as well as Lu Zhen, President of China weekly, a representative of the organizer, were equipped with three sets of fixed clamps, and Wang chenbo, general manager of China weekly, and other important guests attended the forum
